Specialists of the Armavir branch overhauled a 27 km long overhead power transmission line (PTL) of 35 kV - Otradnaya - Udobnaya in the Otradnaya district of the Krasnodar Territory. Reliable power supply to more than 17 thousand consumers and dozens of Kuban's most important social facilities depends on the stable operation of the power facility.

Power engineers replaced four reinforced concrete poles, insulators and wire pulling, installed new fittings that will protect the wire from wind loads and increase its service life. Insulators that had reached the end of their useful life were also replaced at the power facility. During the summer months, it is planned to clear the protection zone of PTL of tree and shrub overgrowth with a mulcher.

The 35 kV Otradnaya-Udobnaya overhead power transmission line provides electricity transit to the Udobnaya substation, which supplies electricity to socially important facilities, including schools, children day care centers, communication facilities, water supply systems, medical facilities, and residents of Udobnaya rural settlement. If necessary, it can also provide backup power supply to 35 kV Peredovaya, Nadezhnaya and Spokoinaya substations, which supply the villages of the same name.

- This year in the Otradnaya district we have also planned a large amount of work on the 35 kV Otradnaya - Poputnaya overhead power transmission line, where we will replace 300 insulators, over 150 sets of fittings and two reinforced concrete poles and free the PTL route from vegetation. The main scope of work will take place in the summer months and will ensure stable operation of power facilities during seasonal peak loads, - Alexander Popov, First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Armavir power grids, emphasised.

The 2024 repair programme of the Armavir branch of Rosseti Kuban plans to upgrade over 260 km of power transmission lines of all voltage classes in the Kavkazsky, Novokubansk, Otradnaya, Uspenskoe, Gulkevichi districts and the suburbs of Armavir. The works carried out will increase the reliability of power supply to the population, socially important facilities and enterprises of Kuban.
