Power Engineers of Rosseti Kuban Repaired 260 Km Of PTLs In the Ust-Labinsk Energy District

In 2023, the Ust-Labinsk branch of Rosseti Kuban improved the reliability of 260 km of power transmission lines (PTLs) of various voltage classes. These measures improved the quality of power supply to consumers and large industrial enterprises in Vyselkovsky, Korenovsky, Tbilissky and Ust-Labinsky districts of the Krasnodar Territory, where about 300,000 residents live.

Power engineers repaired more than 20 high-voltage PTLs. Among those repaired is the 110 kV Novolabinskaya-Korenovskaya-Tyagovaya power transmission line. This PTL is an energy artery for power supply to consumers in Korenovsk and Ust-Labinsk districts, as well as socially important facilities: hospitals, medical and obstetrical centers and outpatient clinics, schools and child day care centers.

A significant amount of work was performed in distribution networks of settlements in the Ust-Labinsk energy district. Specialists replaced 148 poles, 970 insulators, 11 km of bare wire with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW) on 0.4-10 kV power transmission lines. SIW is resistant to mechanical damage and difficult weather conditions. Its use will help reducing the number of technological disruptions caused by ice formation, snow buildup and high winds.

Simultaneously with the replacement of equipment, power engineers of Ust-Labinsk electric networks cleared the protection zones of PTLs. A total of 116 hectares of bushes and woody vegetation have been eliminated from the routes, which helps reducing the probability of technological disruptions due to the fall of branches and trees on wires during bad weather.

Ust-Labinsk branch of Rosseti Kuban supplies electricity to four municipalities in the Krasnodar Territory: Vyselkovsky, Korenovsky, Tbilissky, and Ust-Labinsky districts. The branch is responsible for 62 substations of 35-110 kV and 2,050 transformer substations with a total installed capacity of 492 MVA.
