The Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban, as part of an agreement with equipment manufacturers, provided electricity to 15 electric vehicle charging stations (EV charging stations) in Sochi and the Tuapse region. For this, the power company installed a transformer substation and built a new power transmission line.

Installed charging stations belong to the fast category, so that electric cars will be charged for 30-40 minutes, providing a cruising range of up to 200 km. EV charging stations meet international requirements, which allows to charge all models of electric vehicles presented on the Russian market.

Charging stations are connected to work in all areas of Sochi: in the Adler district – on Lenin Street; in Krasnaya Polyana – on Defenders of the Caucasus Street; in the Khostinsky district - on the streets of Sukhumskoye Shosse, Shosseinaya and Platanovaya. In the Central district of the resort, seven EV charging stations operate on the streets of the Constitution of the USSR, Makarenko, Nesebrskaya, Moskovskaya, Chernomorskaya and Navaginskaya. Two charging stations are located on Batumi highway of the Lazarevsky district. In addition, power engineers connected to the power supply a charging station in the village of Bzhid, the Tuapse district.

 – Places for installation of EV charging stations are chosen taking into account the convenience of their location for residents of settlements. To connect the charging stations, specialists of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban installed a 6-10/0.4 kV transformer substation and built a power transmission line with a length of more than 1.8 m. The total capacity of the connected equipment was 2.7 MW, – said Edgar Armaganyan, First Deputy General Director - Director of the Sochi Electric Networks branch of Rosseti Kuban.

The installation of new EV charging stations is a continuation of the complex of measures for the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, begun by the Sochi branch of electric networks in 2016, and is another step towards increasing the level of comfort of residents and guests of Sochi and Tuapse.

Let me remind you that the first five electric stations of Rosseti Kuban were installed in 2016 as part of the implementation of the All-Russian Rosseti program for the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. One of them is located in the parking lot of the Grand Marina shopping gallery (Nesebrskaya Street, 1a), the second – on the territory of the Sochi electric networks along Constitution Street, 42. Three more EV charging stations are located in Sirius on the territory of the Sirius educational center.
