The power engineers of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban have carried out major repairs of three 10 kV overhead power lines (OHPL) and four 0.4 kV power lines in the village of Moldovka, Sochi. The total length of power facilities was about six km.

Specialists installed more than 50 reinforced concrete and nine multifaceted metal transmission towers of a new generation with enhanced wind load characteristics in places of dense development, and also mounted about eight km of self-supporting insulated wire (SIW). The SIW has high wear resistance and provides reliable power supply under adverse weather conditions, which is especially important for the natural and climatic conditions of the Sochi energy region.

Additionally, the power engineers carried out the procedure for unbundling the electric grids of the village of Moldovka by separating three sections of power lines by installing new transformer substations with a total installed capacity of more than 2.5 MVA. These actions enabled to improve the quality of power supply, avoid voltage drops in the network and reduce losses during electricity transmission.

Comprehensive technical re-equipment of power lines will improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply to about four thousand consumers in the village of Moldovka, Adler district, Sochi.
