The power engineers of Adyghe ‘Rosseti Kuban’ branch have started overhaul repairs of 15 overhead line supports in the section of the 220 kV overhead power transmission line of Krasnodar co-generation plant — Tverskaya in Belorechensky district of Krasnodar Krai. The power supply to traction substations of the Tuapse section of the Russian Railways and consumers of Apsheronsky district in Kuban with a population of about 100 thousand people depends on reliable operation of this power transmission line.

The overhead line support is a metal structure in the upper part of the support, to which a lightning-proof cable is fixed. The ground wearer is a grounded wire stretched along an overhead power transmission line above the wires, which protects PTL from being struck by lightning which can cause technological disruptions in the electrical network operation.

Overall, since the beginning of 2022 specialists have carried out overhaul repairs of high-voltage power transmission lines with a total length of 133 km, including replacement of insulators, lightning protection cable, wire, as well as clearing work of security zones of overhead power transmission lines.

The branch of ‘Rosseti Kuban’ Adyghe Electric Networks provides electricity to eight municipalities of Kuban and Adyghe: Maykopsky, Giaginsky, Shovgenovsky, Koshekhablsky and Krasnogvardeysky districts, and Maykop, as well as Belorechensky and Apsheronsky districts of Krasnodar Krai with a total population of about 550 thousand people.
