Rosseti Kuban identifies more than 60 ownerless power facilities in Sochi and the Tuapse region

Specialists of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban have identified 64 ownerless power facilities in Sochi and the Tuapse region since the beginning of 2022. The main danger of neglected electric power facilities is that they operate at the limit of their capabilities, and their repair and maintenance have not been carried out for years. For this reason, orphan networks often cause power outages and high levels of power loss, and also pose a threat to the health and lives of the people.

In the Central District of Sochi, 12 worn-out cable lines and transformer substations were identified. In the Khosta district of the resort, power engineers discovered 28 cable and overhead lines that were not operated by anyone. In the Lazarevsky district of Sochi, four ownerless power facilities were identified, and seven in the Tuapse district.

Sochi Electric Grids are actively working on the consolidation of electric grid assets. To identify ownerless power equipment, a technical inventory of the energy district is regularly carried out. Over the past three years, according to the results of this work, more than 500 previously ownerless power facilities have been accepted for servicing by Rosseti Kuban.

Consolidation of power grid assets is carried out in accordance with the current legislation (Articles 225, 226 and 234 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, Federal Law No. 35-FZ of March 26, 2003 "On the Electric Power Industry").

Organizations and individuals unable to ensure the proper operation and repair of their power facility can apply to Sochi Electric Grids to conclude a maintenance contract. Please report the discovery of faulty or ownerless power equipment by calling the hotline 8-800-220-0-220 (the call is free in Russia).
