Rosseti Kuban specialists are trained at a new diesel power plant at the corporate energy institute

As part of the implementation of the “Mobile Power Plant Engineer” program, a practical lesson was held at the training ground of the corporate Energy Institute for Advanced Studies using a new diesel power plant provided by the Krasnodar branch of Rosseti Kuban. The group included seven specialists from the Adyghe, Armavir, Slavyansk, Tikhoretsk and Ust-Labinsk electrical networks.

The educational program for the profession "Mobile Power Plant Engineer" is aimed at acquiring professional competence for students to work with specific equipment, technologies, hardware, software and other professional tools. The program was developed on the basis of the Professional Standard 24.011 "Internal Combustion Engine Engineer in the Nuclear Power Industry".

The theoretical part of the training includes the study of typical malfunctions of diesel power plants (DPP) and methods for their elimination, as well as organizational and technical measures that ensure the safety of work, protective equipment and requirements for them, safety precautions when servicing backup power sources.

At the practical lesson, the students, under the supervision of the course teacher - a mentor with extensive practical experience Vladimir Kirilenko, worked out the first start-up and control of parameters, and also tested a diesel power plant.

“The use in training of equipment that is used in the branches of the company will have a positive impact on the training of electrical personnel. We thank the management of the branch of PJSC Rosseti Kuban Krasnodar Electric Networks and personally the director Andrey Gerasko for the diesel power plant provided for practical training,” said Vyacheslav Belik, Acting Rector of the Energy Institute.

The educational program will end with a final certification in the form of a qualification exam, which is conducted to determine the compliance of the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities with the trained workers.
