Specialists of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban have completed a major overhaul of distribution networks in the village of Veseloye, Adler District, Sochi. The overhead power transmission line (TL), which supplies electricity to the homes of 200 people, was previously taken over by the power engineers for maintenance.

The overhaul of power transmission lines of the Sochi power grids was completed within three months. Specialists dismantled more than 1,200 m of bare aluminum wire and laid a modern self-supporting insulated wire (SIP) that will provide stable high-quality power supply to consumer homes due to a fourfold increase in cross section.

In addition, SIP wire has high wear resistance and resistance to adverse weather conditions and wind loads, which is especially important given the natural and climatic features of the Sochi energy district.

As part of the overhaul, specialists from the Sochi Electric Networks also replaced 12 damaged power transmission towers. Instead of wooden structures, reinforced concrete structures were installed that meet all modern technical requirements.

The overhaul of the overhead line will ensure a stable power supply to the residents of the village of Veseloye during the winter peak loads.
