Competitions in the nomination "Best electrician" were held in four stages among employees of electric power and oil and gas companies. The competition was attended by 90 people from cities from the Far East to Kaliningrad. The theoretical and practical skills of the contestants were evaluated according to 10 criteria.

The twenty best specialists of the country who scored the most points at all stages of the competition included Pavel Shokin, an electrician of the operational mobile team of the Krasnodar Electric Grids, and Andrey Yelin, foreman of the production site of the cable line service of the Krasnodar branch of Rosseti Kuban.

The All-Russian competition of professional excellence "The Best in Profession" has been held annually since 2012 to increase the prestige of working professions, disseminate relevant experience and best practices in training. It is organized by the Ministry of Labor of Russia.
