Power engineers of the Adygei branch of Rosseti Kuban completed a major overhaul and maintenance of a 110 kV overhead power transmission line (PTL) Kabardinskaya-Navaginskaya in the Apsheronsky district of the Krasnodar Territory. PTL provides electricity to residents and socially significant facilities of the Apsheron District and Greater Sochi with a total population of more than half a million people, as well as to traction substations of Russian Railways.
Instead of obsolete insulators, power engineers installed about 2,000 new ones made of tempered glass. Such insulators have high operational and technical characteristics - increased mechanical strength, resistance to temperature extremes and environmental influences. The reliability and safety of power transmission lines largely depend on the quality of insulating materials.
“Measures to improve the reliability of key high-voltage transmission lines will be continued as part of the company's repair program. Our main goal is high-quality and timely preparation of the electrical grid complex of the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea for the autumn-winter period”, Rustam Magdeev, director of the Adygei branch of Rosseti Kuban, said.
In total, in 2022, power engineers of the Adygei Branch plan to repair about 1.7 thousand km of power transmission lines of various voltage levels and replace more than 14 thousand insulators. The transmission line will be subject to operational maintenance and overhaul with the replacement of wires, insulators, ground wire, traverses, as well as the installation of bird protection devices and vibration dampers.
The Adygei branch of Rosseti Kuban provides electricity to eight municipalities of Adygea and Kuban: Maikop, Giaginsky, Shovgenovsky, Koshekhablsky and Krasnogvardeisky districts and the city of Maikop, as well as Belorechensky and Apsheronsky districts.
