Power engineers of Rosseti Kuban continue system work to identify and eliminate power line (PL) protective zone violations. Since the beginning of 2022, over 80 cases of overhead PL protective zone violations have been recorded on the territory of the Sochi power district. The largest number of cases was found in Khostinsky and Lazarevsky districts of Sochi, as well as Tuapsinsky district of the Krasnodar Territory.

The most common PL protective zone violations are construction of temporary and permanent buildings near power lines or directly under them, roads, sites for building materials storage, household waste, as well as placement of playgrounds. The prohibition on such actions is enshrined in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated February 24, 2009 No. 160 "On the procedure for establishing protective zones for power grid facilities and special conditions for the use of land plots located within such zones".

When violations are found in PL protective zones, power engineers draw up acts, and then they send orders to the owners, demanding elimination of inconsistencies. If the owner of illegally erected facilities refuses to eliminate the violation in the PL protective zone voluntarily, specialists of Rosseti Kuban are forced to apply to the courts.

In total, since the beginning of 2022, 12 claim forms of PL protective zone violations have been sent. Thus, litigation is being conducted on a capital construction project in Sochi (Residential Complex "Signatur"). The land plot is encumbered with the overhead power line protective zone of 110 kV, while the owner of the building did not apply to power engineers to coordinate its construction.

For their part, power engineers sent appeals to the Administration and the Prosecutor's Office of Sochi with information of necessity to take response measures toward persons whose actions had led to the violation. Power engineers filed a lawsuit to pull down an uncoordinated facility in the protective zone of a high-voltage site.

As for coordination and performance of work in the protective zone of PL, you should contact specialists of Rosseti Kuban by calling the hotline 8-800-220-0-220 (the call is free within Russia).
