Rosseti Kuban has improved reliability of power supply for 300,000 people

Since the beginning of the year, power engineers of the Timashevsk branch of Rosseti Kuban overhauled over 75 km of high-voltage power lines (PL), which provide electricity to five municipalities of the Krasnodar Territory with a total population of more than 300 thousand people.

During the work, employees of the Timashevsk electrical grid replaced almost four thousand insulators, 3.1 km of ground wire and 17 PL towers. They installed 440 bird protection systems (BPS) and cleared 13.4 hectares of passages along the air routes of power transmission lines.

New insulators made of tempered glass have increased mechanical strength, resistance to temperature extremes and environmental influences. And BPS will insure birds from electric shock and ensure the protection of power facilities from metabolic bird byproduct, reducing the risk of emergency situations.

“This year, more than 147 million rubles have been allocated for a repair program in the Timashevsk energy district. Within the framework of the autumn-winter period preparation, power engineers of the Timashevsk branch of Rosseti Kuban will repair 11 large supply centers, 330 electrical substations and more than 920 km of overhead PL of various voltage classes,” Sergey Sobolev, a director of the Timashevsk electrical grid, said.

The Timashevsk branch of Rosseti Kuban serves Timashevsky, Kanevskoy, Bryukhovetsky, Kalininsky, Primorsko-Akhtarsky districts of the Krasnodar Territory. The main equipment of the branch includes 20 substations with the voltage of 110 kV, 64 substations with the voltage of 35 kV, more than 2,300 electrical substations. The length of overhead power lines is more than 10 thousand km.
