Specialists of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban note an increase in the number of applications for technological connection to electric networks. For five months, the indicator increased by 11% in comparison with the same period last year and amounted to about 3,360 applications with a total capacity of 75 MW. Experts attribute this to the active development of the territories of Sochi and the Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory.

“Since the beginning of 2022, the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban has completed the connection of more than 2,500 new consumers to electric networks. Plots for the sports and recreation complex, healthcare facilities and the sanatorium and resort sector are provided with electricity. Now, the activities for the technical connection of a new school in the Central District of Sochi are being completed”, Edgar Armaganyan, the First Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Director of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban said.

Most of the new consumers of the energy company are representatives of welfare categories and legal entities with a capacity of up to 15 kW. To connect them, power engineers are building and reconstructing transformer substations, and overhead power lines 10-0.4 kV.

Timely provision of applicants with electricity is a contribution to the economic development of the territories: an increase in production volumes, the creation of new jobs, an increase in the quality of education, healthcare, and water supply. In order to form a power reserve and connect new consumers in Sochi, within the framework of the investment program of Rosseti Kuban, the reconstruction of three key supply centers continues – 110 kV substations Adler, Kudepsta and Pasechnaya. The modernization will increase their total transformer capacity by 96 MVA.
