Rosseti Kuban plans to increase the capacity of five key substations in Adygeya

In 2022, specialists in energetics of Adygeyskiy branch of Rosseti Kuban plans to reconstruct five important supply centers in the Republic of Adygeya with an increase in aggregate transformer capacity up to the power 143 MVA. High-voltage substations provide electricity to domestic consumers, facilities of agro-industrial complex and welfare facilities of Maykop and Giaginskiy district with a total population of 255,000 people. Substations 110 kV “Cheremushki” and “Severnaya” in Maykop, substations 35 kV “Tulskaya” and “Sadovaya” in Maykopskiy district and substation 35 kV “Kombizavod” in Giaginskiy district are to be modernized.

Energy workers are going to install modern and more powerful power transformers at the facilities, technical re-equipment of protective relay and automation and other substation equipment will be carried out, site improvements will be performed. Besides, essential fire safety measures will be carried out.

“Reconstruction of high-voltage substations is underway under the cooperation agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Adygeya, Rosseti group and Rosseti Kuban, concluded in 2020. At present, design and survey works are carried out, the documentation package has been prepared for carrying out construction and erection works, the necessary equipment is being purchased”, the Director of Adygeyskiy branch of Rosseti Kuban Rustam Magdeev said.

Adygeyskiy branch of Rosseti Kuban provides electricity to eight municipal entities of Kuban and Adygeya: Maykopskiy, Giaginskiy, Shovgenovskiy, Koshekhablskiy and Krasnogvarderskiy districts, Maykop, and also Belorechenskiy and Apsheronskiy districts of Krasnodar region. The area of responsibility includes 59 substations 35-110 kV and 2,097 compact substations with a voltage of 6-10/0,4 kV. The total installed capacity is 971 MVA.
