The brigades of the Sochi branch of Rosseti Kuban have fully completed repair works at electricity grid facilities in Adlersky, Hostinskiy and Central districts. The processing of applications of consumers related to the interruption of electric power supply is being continued.
On July 6th, power engineering specialists started emergency repair works following the clearance of the roadway which was blocked by fallen trees as a result of the weather patterns. The power supply will be restored in that area during the day.
Let us remember that the cause of the interruption of electric power supply was thunderstorms accompanied with squall, trees falling and water level rising in mountain rivers. In total, 40 brigades and 41 pieces of heavy equipment, including specific equipment of Sochi electrical networks were involved in liquidation of consequences of the weather patterns at the power facilities. The work was carried out in close cooperation with the administration of the districts and rescuers.
An uninterruptible power supply to social facilities was provided using movable standby power sources - diesel generators.
