Today, the press conference of the CEO of the energy company Sergey Sergeev, with participation of journalists of leading regional editions of Krasnodar Region and the Republic of Adygeya took place in the Executive Office of the Company Rosseti Kuban. The meeting was revolved around the questions related to the development of the integrated power grid of the region and digitalization of the power grids.
Reaching out to journalists, Sergey Sergeev noted that the past year had been marked by Company’s participation in implementation of major federal projects, building of new electrical substations and transmission lines, commissioning of generating capacities and also shift to a new brand Rosseti Kuban.
“We are the largest electric grid company in the South of Russia and we realize the responsibility to the region, economy, business, consumers with respect to reliability and quality assurance of our services. In 2019 Kubanenergo marked its 75th anniversary and it was a significant date in the history of the regional power engineering and history of the region”, the CEO of Rosseti Kuban emphasized.
Investments in the development of electric power industry, digitalization of electricity grids, introduction to “smart” meters and so forth were among the key topics of discussion at the press conference.
Thus, the investments in development of power supply package in 2019 amounted to 5.5 billion rubles and 800 km of lines were built. Among the largest and the significant objects were electrical substation 220 kV “Port” in Taman, upgrade of the electrical substations 110kV “Severnaya”, “Loris” and “OBD” in Krasnodar. According to Sergey Sergeev, these objects are to improve the reliability and offer opportunities to engage new consumers as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.
“Besides, the implementation of the concept of “Digital Transformation 2030” of the corporate group Rosseti is well underway”, the CEO stressed.
“The digital grid is managed in real time. The first completed project is the electrical substation “Port” in Taman, where more than 6.5 thousand signals are processed in digit. This year we proceed to build a new digital substation “Angarskaya” in Krasnodar. Reconstruction of the electrical substations such as “Pasechnaya”, “Kudepsta” and “Adler” in digit format is planned for 2020 in Sochi”, Sergey Sergeev added.
Journalists raised questions regarding generating capacity establishment in the capital of the region, investments in the development of integrated power grid of Adygeya and long-term plans for company development.
