Within the first half of the year, Southwestern Branch of Rosseti Kuban increased reliability of electricity infrastructure in the southwestern district of the region and prepared it for the nearing autumn-winter period. The branch has invested 57.4 million rubles to complete the project.
Engineers replaced about 1.5 thousand electricity poles, 4 thousand damaged insulators, and installed 15km of wires with larges cross section instead of old worn-out aluminum wires. This power upgrade project helped increase voltage of supply to customers and reduce electricity losses.
To improve quality and reliability of power supply, engineers from Rosseti Kuban repaired 430 transformer substations, replaced about 700 old service drop wires totaling 19km. Instead of traditional aluminum wire, the branch used self-supporting insulated wire, which is safer, more resistant to adverse environmental effects and has high fire resistance properties. In addition, the use of such wires virtually eliminates unauthorized connection to the power network and reduces operating costs.
