At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – 2019 (SPIEF-2019), Rosseti and the Republic of Adygea have concluded several agreements pertaining to increase of the quality of electricity supply services to business and household consumers. The agreements were signed by Pavel Livinsky, Director General of Rosseti, and Murat Kumpilov, Head of the Republic of Adygea.

The parties agreed to create the necessary conditions for implementation of activities allowing to eliminate commercial losses during electricity transmission, minimize accidents in the power grid complex, and increase the availability of network infrastructure by investing 5 billion rubles in the construction of high-voltage facilities and conducting large-scale power engineering drills across the southern part of Russia.

In the light of the signed documents, Rosseti Kuban, the company managing the region’s distribution networks, will start using a long-term tariff with retaining all funds received after the increase in efficiency in the gross revenue requirement for the period of at least 10 years. The government of the Republic of Adygea also plans to stimulate the growth of energy consumption to increase the revenue of the grid complex, and, as a result, investment in the development of the energy infrastructure.

In order to optimize the modernization and new construction programmes in the electric power industry, it is planned to consolidate the power facilities currently owned both by the region and individual commercial structures at the base of Rosseti Kuban. As experience of other regions confirms, the transition to unified management can significantly improve production performance, reduce both capital and operating costs, and introduce advanced technologies.

These steps open up massive opportunities for the implementation of the Digital Transformation 2030 concept adopted by Rosseti in the Republic of Adygea, thanks to which the company will achieve an unprecedented level of reliability, safety and quality of power supply to consumers, and, most importantly, ensure conditions for expanding the existing and launching new productions that will create additional workplaces in the region.

Pavel Livinsky, the Head of Rosseti, said: “These agreements represent the unified view of Rosseti Group and the authorities of the Republic of Adygea on importance of building the cutting edge infrastructure, allowing to reveal the entire social and economic potential of the region and create additional comfort for the local residents. Implementation of these agreements signed today creates the necessary conditions for stable development of the power grid complex, its upgrade by introduction of digital control technologies and provision of services of the highest quality.”
