A group from Kubanenergo PJSC (part of Rosseti PJSC) has visited the first digital substation in the Moscow region. The 110kV substation “Medvedevskaya” is located in Skolkovo Innovation Centre. Colleagues from MOESK PJSC gave our specialists a tour around the substation.
The group from Kubanenergo included:
Edgar Armaganyan, First Deputy Director General – Head of Sochi electric networks
Timur Glushko, Deputy Director General for Special Projects – Head of Slavyansk electric networks
Pavel Kozlov, First Deputy Director – Chief Engineer of Sochi electric networks
Zaurbek Khapishtov, First Deputy Director – Chief Engineer of Slavyansk electric networks
The 110kV substation “Medvedevskaya” in Skolkovo Innovation Centre is among the first digital substations of Rosseti in Russia. With the total capacity of 160MVA the facility is intended for power supply to Skolkovo. The substation is equipped with digital relay protection and emergency automation designed to quickly identify and disable the damaged components of the power system, as well as digital measuring equipment and switches. All cutting-edge digital solutions at the substation are developed and implemented in accordance with the requirements for implementation of the strategy for creating a digital network in Russia established by Rosseti PJSC.
Mutual exchange of experiences, discussion of efficiency of digitalization and advantages of remote operational management of the substation are some of the topics of the meeting. Colleagues from MOESK gave a tour around the substation for the representatives of Kubanenergo, demonstrated high-tech equipment and gave a Q&A session.
Within the framework of the “Digital Transformation 2030” concept, which opens the era of digitalization in the energy sector, such innovative projects will be created throughout Russia.
The Krasnodar region has become one of those regions where digitalization technologies are being implemented. This year in the middle of March, Russian President V. Putin gave the command to launch a new power facility of the Rosseti Group on the Taman Peninsula: the 220 kV substation “Port”. The substation, built by a subsidiary of Rosseti, Kubanenergo, is unprecedented across the south of Russia in terms of its technical characteristics. Through the use of advanced technologies, the power facility can be remotely controlled online, which ensures its highest reliability. A modern automated control system at the substation processes about 6.5 thousand signals from the substation, monitoring, and diagnostics equipment, which are arriving in digital form.
