Power Engineering Institute of Kubanenergo launches occupational safety training course

Recently a training programme “Occupational safety and prevention of workplace accidents” has started at the Power Engineering Institute of Advanced Training of Kubanenergo PJSC.

The training course was opened by Evgeniy Rud, the rector of the Institute, and Sergey Chernykh, deputy chief engineer of Kubanenergo – head of occupational safety and production control department.

Sergey Chernykh said: “The most fundamental principle of labour protection is prevention of workplace injuries. As part of preventive measures, it is essential to fulfill and strictly observe all necessary safety measures.”

The course is designed in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of occupational safety, and occupational standards.

Evgeniy Rud, rector of the Power Engineering Institute, explained: “The occupational standards establish mandatory requirements for labor protection specialists. Among the most important is the presence of specialized higher or additional education. Our training course will allow employees of energy companies to obtain additional education fully complying with the Occupational Standards.”
