Power Engineering Institute of Advanced Training of Kubanenergo PJSC and Non-profit Partnership for the Development of Renewable Energy “EUROSOLAR Russia” have signed cooperation agreement

The parties agreed on cooperation in the development of renewable energy sources, energy conservation and energy efficiency. According to the document, the partners intend to provide each other with information and advisory, methodological and technical assistance, exchanging equipment and materials on a returnable basis.

It is also planned to organize and conduct joint seminars, trainings, courses, conferences, exhibitions and other activities aimed at improving the level of proficiency of employees involved in power industry and introducing modern technical solutions in the power grid complex, conducting researches in this area.

Evgeniy Rud, rector at the Power Engineering Institute, said: “Cooperation with EUROSOLAR is an important and timely decision for our institute. Intellectual control systems based on digital technologies are being actively introduced in the power industry, and resolutions of the Russian Government on renewable energy sources are being implemented. For our part, we are ready to become a platform for a dialogue with interested parties on introduction of advanced technologies in modern production, solar and other renewable energy sources. In addition, we can become a base for training specialists who will have access from the manufacturer to carry out installation work on this equipment.”   

At the end of 2018, as part of the international project Enabling PV Russia, the Energy Institute held a roundtable discussion on development of solar energy in Krasnodar region. The meeting was initiated by representatives of the consulting company “Eclareon”, the German Association of Solar Energy and NP EUROSOLAR Russia, with the participation of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

Most of the issues on the agenda were devoted to development of Russian technologies and production of equipment for renewable energy sources, prospects of international cooperation in the field of production and trade, as well as determining the feasibility of implementing a pilot project in Krasnodar region.
