Kubanenergo has proved its readiness to autumn-winter period

Alexander Gavrilov, Director General of Kubanenergo PJSC, summed up the results of preparation to winter at the meeting in the administrative office in Krasnodar: “Kubanenergo PJSC confirmed its readiness to operate during the peak demand in the autumn-winter period 2018-2019.” Following the results of the audit of preparation of the regions’ power network for the upcoming heating season, the commission of the RF Ministry of Energy adopted a decision on the company’s readiness for the winter and issued a confirming document – the Certificate of Preparedness.

The resolution on readiness of energy companies was issued in the Order of RF Ministry of Energy No.1031 of 14.11.2018 “On the Results of Evaluation of Readiness of Energy Companies to Operation during the Heating Season 20108-2019”.

Summing up the results of preparations for the autumn-winter period, Alexander Gavrilov, Director General of Kubanenergo PJSC, thanked the company’s employees for their serious and professional approach to carrying out all projects of the repair programme, which are the guarantee to reliable operation of the power system.

Alexander Gavrilov emphasized: “Readiness for winter does not imply only fulfillment of the repair campaign in full, but also our readiness for weather challenges and emergency situations. The company’s specialists have already proved their efficiency and coherence of their actions during the liquidation of the consequences of the strongest storms that ravaged in Sochi district this October. Kubanenergo specialists were among the first to carry out restoration work in the severest conditions in villages that were cut off from the outside world. It means that our task is to provide consumers with light and heat in any, even the most difficult and unpredictable, weather conditions.”

Since the beginning of 2018, Kubanenergo have specialists repaired 408 power transformers (104% of the plan), more than 750 kilometers of 35-220 kV power lines (118% of the plan), cleared over 1.,250 hectares of ROW of power lines of various voltage classes from vegetation (123% of the plan ); conducted 22 trial ice melts on wires and ground wire of overhead lines, about 70 emergency drills and several exercises together with the executive authorities of Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea, Rosseti PJSC, and regional divisions of EMERCOM.

The emergency reserve is 100% complete. Particular attention is paid to preparation of backup power supplies. They will provide power supply for important facilities, including those that are socially significant in the event of abnormal situations.

For emergency response to abnormal situations Kubanenergo has set up emergency mobile teams. They are staffed with modern tools, individual and group protective equipment, overalls and communication devices. These teams have experience in carrying out emergency recovery work outside the operational responsibility of Kubanenergo. Also all branches of Kubanenergo concluded agreements on interaction to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergencies with the regional departments of the EMERCOM, local administrations, territorial network and contractors.

During the meeting, A. Gavrilov also awarded Kubanenergo employees with medals of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation “For distinguished service during elimination of the consequences of emergencies at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex”, who made a significant contribution to restoration of electricity supply to customers in Sochi and Tuapse districts of the Krasnodar region in October 2018.

All directors of the company’s branches that also confirmed their readiness for winter, took part in the meeting on the results of winter preparations via videoconferencing.
