PR unit of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti Group) has won two awards in the fourth Russian Contest of Mass Media, Press Services of Fuel and Energy Companies and Regional Energy Ministries "MediaTEK-2018". The awards ceremony took place on October 4 at the International Russian Energy Week Forum in Moscow.
The expert board of the contest was headed by Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Russia — Presidential Press Secretary, and the members of the board were: Anton Yunintsyn, Deputy Energy Minister, Sergey Miklailov, Director General of Russian News Agency TASS, Mikhail Komissar, Director General of Interfax, Sergey Yakovlev, Chief Editor at newspaper Kommersant, Margarita Simonyan, Chief Editor at of RT channel and Rossiya Segodnya news agency, Dmitriy Kiselev, Director General of Rossiya Segodnya news agency, Andrey Bystritsky, Dean of Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design at Higher School of Economics, and Elena Vartanova Dean of Faculty of Journalism at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Alexander Novak noted that energy is of crucial importance for the growth of the economy; therefore, popularization of energy projects, energy innovations and technologies, as well as discussion of industry problems, are of great importance for implementation of the most significant initiatives for the development of our country as a whole.

Kubanenergo Public Relations Department won bronze in MediaTEK contest in nomination “Safe Energy” for its project on prevention of electrical injuries among children, and was awarded a special award from the expert council for many years of work with children and young people to promote the professions in Fuel and Energy Sector and Promotion of Energy Conservation.
Prevention of electrical injuries has been one of the priorities of the social activities of Kubanenergo for more than 10 years. During the school year and school holidays, our education crews conduct electrical safety lessons, excursions, contests, etc. Every year thousands of children in the Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygea participate in these activities.
The MediaTEK contest is held among federal and regional mass media, journalists, public relations units of fuel and energy complex companies and regional ministries. In 2018, about 400 entries from 50 regions of the country were submitted to the competition. The companies of Rosseti Group have become one of the most active participants.
