Power engineers from Armavir power networks branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti Group) are conducting overhaul of 110 kV substation Naidenovskaya’. Repair of the substation’s power equipment will help significantly increase reliability of electricity supply and get the networks of Kavkazsky district ready for this autumn-winter season.

The planned activities presuppose repair of two transformers with total capacity of 26 MVA, oil switches, disconnectors and other substation equipment. It is also planned to replace 30 old arresters with the modern surge arresters.

Instead of electromechanical 35 kV overhead line protection panels our specialists will install high-speed digital protection relays. These state-of-the-art high-tech devices of domestic production enable to detect the damaged sections of the power system in a short time and provide protection of the substation’s equipment from emergencies in the network.

‘The new microprocessor-based equipment is characterized by high reliability and has the edge over the electromechanical devices: it is smaller; conducts self-diagnostic; one device combines in itself functions of several, namely protection, operation, measurement and recording’, said Alexander Kolegaev, head of  Relay Protection and Automation Services at Armavir power networks.

Substation ‘Naidenovskaya’ is essential for power supply to small medium business, public amenities, public utility installations and domestic consumers.
