Krasnodarskiye power networks, branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) is implementing  a major project on construction and upgrade of several large power facilities in Krasnodar. This project will increase the capacity of substation more than one-and-a-half times.

The branch has completed the most part of the works. Currently our teams are upgrading 35 KV substation “Kalinino” and 110 kV substations “Yugo-Zapadnaya”, “Turgenevskaya”, “Loris”, and “Severnaya”. These substations play a key role in keeping the lights on for hundreds of social infrastructures and a large part of residents of Krasnodar.

The total capacity of these substations is currently 325 MVA (megavolt-amper); after the power upgrade it will be over 497 MVA.

The project will increase the reliability of the electricity network and quality of supply in Krasnodar and its suburbs and meet the city’s growing power demand.

Andrey Gerasko, director of Krasnodarskiye power networks, said: “We are upgrading the largest substations of Krasndar, the most loaded ones. This project will boost up capacity of the substations and meet the city’s growing demand in electricity. It is worth noting that on the territory of Krasnodar Kubanenergo transports electricity mainly through high-voltage networks. Among our customers there are more than 30 distribution network operator (DNOs) that own grid facilities and bear full responsibility for the operation of their network equipment, the reliability and quality of energy supply to their consumers.
