To prepare equipment for the summer peak demand, power engineers from the South-Western branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) conducted thermovision inspections of 16 high-voltage transmission lines of the total length of 250 km in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, Abinsk and Krymsky districts of the region.
These power lines keep lights on for tens of thousands of homes and dozens of public facilities on the Black Sea coast, Krasnodar region.
‘The thermovision inspection is a modern type of diagnostics that allows early detection of a wire defect caused by increased heating in places of contact connections,’ said Grigory Chitaya, head of 35 kV and higher power lines of the South-Western branch. |
Application of such diagnostic techniques helps Kubanenergo obtain accurate data on condition of each power facility, reduce the number of repairs, improve safety of operation of electrical facilities and ensure reliable supply for consumers.
