Specialists from Krasnodar branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) are upgrading 35kV substation ‘Shapsug’ – a significant power facility for social and economic development of Takhtamukaiskiy  district of the Republic of Adygea. The substation’s voltage will be increased up to 110kV and total transformer capacity will reach 80MVA, which is four times more than the current capacity.

After this power upgrade, our engineers will install modern equipment that meets safety and quality requirements. The essential project will significantly improve quality of supply to 15 thousand customers and 45 socially significant facilities in nine settlements of the district, ensure connection of new customers and create conditions for economic development of the district.

The new equipment and technological systems and modern tele control systems will allow to monitor operation of the facility online and remotely monitor the load on power transformers, thereby reducing the response time to technological disruptions in the network.

‘Reconstruction of substation ‘Shapsug’ is driven by the necessity to upgrade the scheme and improve the reliability of supply to existing consumers and create conditions for technological connection of new customers. Automation and introduction of remote control of the substation, first of all, will increase the energy efficiency of the substation, and remote equipment control will ensure safety of maintenance personnel and reduction in operating costs,’ said Andrey Gerasko, Director of Krasnodar power networks.
