Since the beginning of this year, engineers from Slavyanskiy branch of  Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) have carried out inspections on 20 HV-lines and 31 substations of 35-110kV in Slavyansky, Krasnoarmeysky, and Temryuksky districts of the Krasnodar region.

Thermal imaging is the latest, most accurate and safe method of detecting defects and preventing emergencies in the operation of electrical equipment. It is carried out with the help of a thermal imager, an extremely-precise instrument for instantaneous detection of local temperature rise. Such inspection allows to detect remotely hidden malfunctions of equipment and take measures to quickly eliminate them at an early stage.

Since the beginning of the year, engineers from Slavyansky branch using thermal imaging cameras have detected about 20 defects of electric equipment, which were quickly eliminated.

Timur Glushko, deputy director general for special projects, director of Slavyanskiye electrical networks, branch of Kubanenergo PJSC, said: “Thermal imaging does not require power cutoff in consumers’ homes, and at the same time guarantees safe preventive inspections of technological faults.”
