Tikhoretskiye electric networks, branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) continues its project on enhancing environmental safety of substation equipment. Thus, the branch will replace about one hundred batteries of static capacitors at substation “Oktyabrskya” in Krylovskoy district within the period 2017-2018.

Batteries of static capacitors (BSC) are applied to stabilize voltage level and reduce power losses. This device helps adjust power flow and voltage in power supply system by changing reactive power consumption. Static capacitors batteries increase stability of power system and quality of electric energy.

Valeriy Gondar, director of Tikhoretskiye electric networks, said: “We are replacing old equipment with the new one to reduce environmental impact of substations. Over a two-year period, the specialists from the branch will replace 99 batteries of static capacitors. The old equipment will be utilized.”
