According to V. Ukolov, the company’s personnel confirmed their readiness to work this winter by having carried out all the planned measures in strict compliance with the established deadlines. The responsibility area of ??Kubanenergo is a special climatic zone, which means that the power engineers of Kuban have the task of ensuring reliability of energy supply to consumers in any, even the severe difficult, weather conditions.

Shishigin thanked the members of the commission for their serious and professional approach to the assessment of the readiness of the Kuban power network.

Igor Shishigin said: “I would like to thank the staff of Kubanenergo for their responsible and high-quality work during the preparation for the autumn-winter period.  Their professionalism is a guarantee of qualitatively carried out repairs and provision of reliably power supply on a daily basis.”

When preparing to this autumn-winter season, the company arranged trainings for the personnel. Operational personnel exercised their skills in melting of ice on wires and lightning protection cables of high-voltage transmission lines. They also attended lectures on labour safety, including briefings on the specifics of work in emergency situations in low-temperature conditions. During the year, the company has conducted staff exercises with ministries and departments, involving employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, law enforcement agencies, dozens of vehicles, and conducting real training at the facilities.

They are staffed with modern tools, individual and group protective equipment, overalls and communication devices. These teams have experience in carrying out emergency recovery work outside the operational responsibility of Kubanenergo.

Also all branches of Kubanenergo concluded agreements on interaction to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergencies with the regional departments of the EMERCOM, local administrations, territorial network and contractors.
