Power line technicians from Adygeiskiye power networks, branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti Group), have finished overhauling aerial power lines “Tverskaya – Kurinskaya” and “Tverskaya – Kabardinskaya” with replacement of 5.2 thousand insulators in Apsheronskiy district of the region.
Overhead power lines that stretch across mountain and forest area of Apsheronskiy district deliver electricity to resort area in Bolshoy Sochi, residents of five mountain villages as well as to grid facilities of the local railroad joining Belorechensk and Tuapse.
Our specialists carried out maintenance work at the grid facilities and replaced 5.2 thousand porcelain insulators with the more reliable glass insulators. The latter has higher insulating efficiency, mechanical integrity and thermal and chemical stability. It is easier to spot faults and defect on glass insulators and thus reduce maintenance costs.
Yuriy Khomichenko, director of Adygeiskiye power networks, said: “We are to perform similar work on the power line “Promzona – Kurgannaya", which connects two districts. On this line, more than two thousand insulators will be replaced.”
