To prepare the equipment to summer peak loads, power engineers of South-Western branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) conducted thermovision inspection of 20 high voltage power lines of total length 277 km in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Krymsky districts of Krasnodar region.

These high voltage power lines provide more than 260 thousand residential customers, about 760 social facilities and six big recreation centres on the Black sea coast of Krasnodar region.

• Thermovision inspection is a modern type of inspection that allows to detect the damage of wire, connected with overheating of contact joints, - explains Grigoriy Chitaya, head of 35 kV and more power lines service of South-Western branch. – The advantage of thermovision inspection is that the power equipment is energized during the inspection, it means we don’t need to disconnect the line.

Practice of using thermovision inspection of Kubanenergo equipment allows to draw an accurate conclusion on condition of object, reduce an amount of repair works, increase safety of power equipment operation and provide the reliability of power supply of customers.
