On 23 March Slayansk-na-Kubani celebrates the day of liberation from the German army. On this day employees of Slavyaskiy branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) laid flowers at the memorial to commemorate this important event.
The gathering took place at the bank of the River Protoka. At this place in 1943 the Red Army crossed the river to liberate the village Slavyanskaya.
The event was attended by the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of the district and town administration, schoolchildren, public organizations, etc. The participants observed a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers, laid flowers at the memorial and floated wreaths on the river.
Timut Glushko, director of Slavyanskiye electric networks, said: “We treat with care the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, promote respect for the history our country in young employees of the Company.The Day of Liberation of Slavyansk-na-Kubani is one of the events that are planned for this year to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory. The Company will take active part in all events dedicated to this wonderful day.”
