In 2016 the South-Western branch Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) inspected 30 power lines of 35-110kV in five districts of the Krasnodar region. Using a thermal camera, our specialists inspected 450 kilometres of power lines.

These lines deliver electricity to more than 400 thousand household customers, around 350 public facilities and 8 large-scale enterprises.

Dmitriy Golovakha, director of South-Western Electric Networks, said: “Thermal imaging is the most efficient diagnostic technique, as it helps reveal even the slightest defects on early stages and take necessary measures before such defects become an issue for consumers. Another advantage of such inspection is that we do not need to disconnect the line. Thermal imaging inspection of equipment allow to make accurate assessment of the state of each facility, reduce the amount of repair work, improve safety of electrical equipment and ensure reliability of power supply.”
