Employees of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) took part in meeting on “Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency” that was about the discussion of the best world practices of energy efficiency. The meeting was held under the Russian Festival of Energy Saving “BrighterTogether” (“ВместеЯрче”) and arranged by the Ministry of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing Services and Utilities of the Krasnodar region, “Agency of Fuel and Energy Complex” and Wood working complex “Apsheronsk” (PDK “Apsheronsk”) in Apsheronsk.

Representatives of local authorities, business community, power companies and public sector experts combined their knowledge, experience and innovative approaches in the sphere of energy efficiency of the Krasnodar region, and discussed far-reaching proposals for the use of renewable energy sources.

Valery Kovalev, Deputy head of the Department Of Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency of Kubanenergo, reported about experience in attracting investments in development of the grid complex on the basis of the implementation of energy service contracts to reduce losses with the help of automation of electricity metering in the problem areas of the Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygea.

Valery Kovalev described the features of the implementation of energy service contracts in Kubanenergo, specified advantages of the introduced metering system, and added in conclusion that “smart” metering devices can significantly reduce energy losses and at the same time allow consumers to save energy on the basis of multi-rate mode of power consumption, control the quality and to some extent the security of power supply.

Besides, the participants summed up the results and conducted a ceremony of awarding the winners of the essay, posters and drawings “BrighterTogether” (“ВместеЯрче”) competition among schoolchildren in Absheronskiy district.
