On 30th September at the International Investment Forum “Sochi-2016” the administration of Krasnodar and Kubanenergo PJSC, affiliated company of “Rosseti” concluded the Agreement of intent. Aleksandr Gavrilov, Director General of Kubanenergo and Aleksandr Mikheev, acting major of Krasnodar, signed this document.

The agreement provides the implementation of several projects on reconstruction and building of power grid facilities in Krasnodar and 3.6 billion rubles investment.

Modernization and construction of facilities are added into “Kubanenergo” PJSC programme on upgrading and development of electric grid facilities for the period of 2016-2020. Currently, design and survey work and works on registration of land and legal documents are being prepared.

- High rate of growth of industrial production and house construction in Krasnodar leads to increase in electric energy consumption. The task that we face is to create additional facilities that will allow to continue developing energy infrastructure and providing of uninterrupted power supply to new customers. Before the agreement was concluded, the Company and municipal government made arrangements, - specified A. Gavrilov.

Under the Agreement by the end of 2017 Kubanenergo plans to reconstruct 11 largest substations of Krasnodar – the most loaded 110 kV substations. This will allow to enhance their transformer capacity. The construction of high-voltage overhead lines and two cable lines is planned as well. Cable lines are more reliable and eco-friendlier in comparison with overhead power lines.

- This project is strategically significant for Krasnodar, because the shortage of energy capacity is one of the factors that hinders city development. The consumption of electric energy increases by 15% per year. Planned increasing of energy capacity of active Krasnodar substations allows to improve quality of electric energy supply, and create necessary infrastructure for the development of manufacturing industry and other municipal economic sectors. It will make conditions more favorable for investors that are ready to bring their project in Krasnodar, - said Aleksandr Mikheev, acting head of Krasnodar.

There are more than 40 substations of 35 and 110 kV located in Krasnodar and its suburb, they all are in Kubanenergo area of responsibility. Total capacity of substations amounts more than 2500 thousand MVA. Length of main network amounts 125 km.

Krasnodar electric networks, “Kubanenergo” PJSC branch, operates main network in Krasnodar and its suburb.

“Kubanenergo” PJSC (“Rosseti” group) is responsible for electric energy transmission through 100 kV networks (and less) on the territory of Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygea.
