Since the beginning of the year, the specialists of Slavianskiy branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) have carried out thermovision inspection of 26 high voltage substations in three districts.

Today thermovision diagnostics is one of the most effective methods of defects detection and prevention of possible failures in operation of power equipment. Such inspection allows early and remotely detect and fix the potential failures.

Thermographic camera is a high-sensitivity device that allows to perform diagnosis of power equipment and inspect power stations in the range of frequencies of infrared radiation. Infrared beams allow to see defects that can’t be found with the naked eye, and that are connected with overheating of contact joints.

“The advantage of thermovision diagnostics, except its high accuracy, is that while we are performing the inspection, the power equipment is not shut down,” said Yevgeniy Rud, director of Slavianskiy branch of Kubanenergo. Our specialists regularly inspect power equipment with thermographic camera.”
