This year a set modern equipment of relay protection and automation will be installed at 110 kV “Armavirskaya TPP” substation. Power engineers of Armavir branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group) have started installation of this equipment. Microprocessor protection allows to increase the reliability of power supply to several large industrial plants of Armavir and about 90 thousand customers.

Previously specialists of the company completed the construction of modular building of unified station control point. Today engineers equip this building with microprocessor equipment of relay protection and anti-damage automation, install signs and modern communication systems.

The latest equipment of relay protection provides the protection of substation equipment and power lines from short circuits and overloads. The equipment has the functions of self-control and self-testing, it allows to monitor the indicators of work of feeding centre and promptly react on emergency situations.

- Such equipment is installed in Armavir branch for the first time. New devices are very functional, safer in maintenance, and they can accurately find the location of the damaged power line. Protective devices will decrease the possibility of technical faults and increase the reliability of power facilities, - noted Rustam Magdeev, Director of Armavir power grids.

All installed equipment is made in Russia. Works are performed as part of investment programme of Kubanenergo. In the result of reconstruction, the substation will become highly reliable facility of the new generation.

“Armavirskaya TPP” substation is the biggest power facility: it provides the transmission of electric energy from the main feeding centre to city substations.
