Starting this year teams from the Southwestern branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti Group) have conducted 120 power safety lessons for 2000 children in summer camps, schools, orphanages and nursery schools in Abinskiy, Krymskiy, Anapskiy, Gelendzhikskiy and Novorossiyskiy districts of the region.
Dmitry Golovakha, director of Southwestern electric networks, branch of Kubanenergo, said: “Our main goal is to protect children and teenagers from electrical injuries. We use fun interactive equipment and materials – multimedia presentations, cartoons and bright colourful posters – they explain children in fun and easy way the safety precautions when dealing with electricity.”
Selfies and Pokémon Go are of especial concern for our specialists. Kubanenergo told youngsters how to play safe and be careful near electricity. Our teams showed how to treat a victim of electrical shock, answered the questions, analyzed together with children the types and causes of electrical injures.
Dmitry Matsyuk, 15, said after the lesson: “In think these lessons are extremely important, they’ll help reduce accidents and teach us how to behave near electricity and how to deal with electrical appliances that we use every day.”
Employees of Kubanenergo PJSC are determined to continue this safety programme to raise awareness of the safety issues. They are sure that these events will teach children to stay safe and avoid injuries.
