Kubanenergo and Unipro Engineering signed service contracts to install smart meters

Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti Group) has signed two service contracts with Unipro Engineering LLC (a subsidiary of Unipro PJSC) that are aimed to reduce losses in networks of Kubanenergo by automation of electric power metering at Kubanenergo PJSC facilities: Slavyanskiye and Tikhoretskiye electric networks.

So far the service area of Kubanenergo includes about 1.2 million electricity metering points and only 6% of them are automated. As part of implementation of the projects, Unipro Engineering will install around 8.200 meters; completion of the projects should help reduce energy losses by 15.5 million kWh per year, increase the net output and switch to the automated collection of data on electric power consumption.

 

Unipro PJSC (E.ON Russia JSC until June 2016) was registered on 4th of March 2004 in Surgut. The Coampny’s authorized capital: 25 219 482 458.37 rubles, par value of one share – 0.4 rubles. 83.73% of Unipro shares are owned by Uniper Russia Holding GmbH., which is a 100% affiliate of international energy company Uniper SE. The Company’s core activities include electric power and capacity generation and sales. Unipro has also its share on market of distributed generation and engineering.

Unipro operates five power plants of 11 145MW: Surgutskaya GRES-2 (5597 MW), Berezovskaya GRES (2400 MW), Shaturskaya GRES (1493 MW), Smolenskaya GRES (630 MW), and Yaivinskaya GRES (1025 MW). Electric energy generated in 201553.766 billion kWh, heat energy – 2035.3 thousand Gcal.

Kubanenergo PJSC (affiliate of Rosseti Group) operates and maintains 110kV and lower grids across the Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygea. It is part of Rosseti Group. The Company has 11 branches and delivers power through the network of 90 thousand km of power lines to over 5.5 million customers.

The Company’s main goal is to ensure reliable and safe power supply and meet the growing need of the regions’ economy in electricity. Kubanenergo is the largest tax payer of the region. The Company also makes its contribution to social and economic life of the region by concluding contracts for performance of particular types of works mostly (80%) with local industries and companies.
