South-Western electric grids, Kubanenergo branch (Rosseti group), modernizes protection system of two largest substations in Gelendzhik district. These substations provide power supply to over 14 thousand people and 38 municipal facilities in suburbs.

Modern engineered safety feature systems allow on-line 24/7 surveillance over substations and the adjacent territory, help prevent trespassing and crimes at grid facilities.

“Protection system consists of perimeter security alarm system with video monitoring that transmits video data to security post”, said Dmitriy Golovakha, head of South-Western electric grids, branch of Kubanenergo PJSC.

Such safety systems should greatly enhance counter-terrorist security of substations that provide electricity supply to homes, businesses, municipal facilities and numerous    recreation and health centers.
