Specialists of “Kubanenergo” PJSC in cooperation with crew of the Federal Fire-Fighting Service of Armavir took part in training that was conducted at 110kV substation “Armavirskaya Central Heating and Power Plant”, one of the biggest power facilities of the town. The objective of the event is to practice skills and effective teamwork in case of emergency at power facilities of the town.

According to the drill scenario, one of high voltage transformers burst into flames with subsequent oil slobbering. Dispatcher of “Kubanenergo” PJSC branch – Armavir power grids – received information on equipment shutdown due to fire breaking out. Emergency crew defined that they can’t deal with power disturbance without fire service. Employees of Armavir power grids called the fire crew and turned off power in the substation. Upon the arrival the fire crew was provided with rubber boots, gloves in accordance with safety rules and they also isolated fire-fighting hoses. After receiving access to the facility, the firemen started the extinguish equipment and quickly brought fire under control.

- All actions in emergency situation should be trained. In this context the most important thing is the implementation of the assigned tasks because thereon depends staff safety and reliability of power supply, - said Anatoliy Omelyanyuk, deputy head engineer at operative-technological and contingency department of Armavir power grids.

Joint training held by Kubanenergo employees and crew of Federal Fire-Fighting Service of Armavir showed high professionalism and readiness for joint operations.
