“Kubanenergo” PJSC (“Rosseti” group) has completed the reconstruction and has put into operation one of the biggest main substations on the Black Sea coast of the southern Russia – 110kV substation “Nebug” in Tuapse district of Krasnodar region. The implemented works under the investment programme of Kubanenergo have resulted in four time increase of facility’s capacity.

- Upgrading of the main substation greatly increases the quality and reliability of electric power supply to villages Nebug, Agoi, Sosnoviy, other nearest settlements, and many recreation centres, resorts and tourist attractions at the Black Sea coast of the Kuban region, noted Edgar Armaganyan, first deputy Director General, head of Sochi electric networks, branch of PJSC “Kubanenergo”.

Substation “Nebug” was built in 1971. The equipment of substation was obsolete and worn out and the district suffered from deficit of power. During the reconstruction works, power engineers installed two new 25 MVA transformers instead of two old 6.3 MVA transformers. From now on the quadruple power reserve will allow the connection of new customers and create conditions for sustainable development of the region.

Power engineers have also upgraded equipment of 110kV and 10kV: they installed switchgears, modern sulfur hexafluoride circuit breakers and disconnecting devices. Surge and short circuit protectors were installed at all feeding and output lines. The substation is equipped with telemetry and communication systems. Such systems allow specialists of control centre to monitor, control and fulfill remote control of power facility in real time mode. Apart from that, the building was reconstructed with increasing of seismic resistance from six to nine, workers also implemented territory improvements.
