General director of Kubanenergo Alexandr Gavrilov came to Vesti Sochi studio to discuss the modern energy system of Sochi and give evaluation of work performed by company’s employees.

During construction of Olympic venues citizens of Sochi had to suffer from regular interruption in power supply. Today we still experience short scheduled power cuts, but in general these problems became a thing of the past. Alexandr Gavrilov specified that now the interruptions mostly happen at ownerless networks that are not maintained or services by any company. To solve this problem it is planned to invest several billion rubles within the grid development programme. In general condition of networks in Sochi is almost ideal, that the opinion of general director of Kubanenergo.

According to Oleg Budargin, head of Rosseti, one year of preprations to Olympic games can be considered as ten. When the company was experiencing difficult times Alsexandr Gavrilov was the only one to agree to take up a position as a general director.

“Kubanenergo had a lot of urgent problems when I was offered to head the company, but I was sure that we can deal with it. This is not a victory of a man, but the team’s”, said Gavrilov.
