In order to ensure uninterrupted operation of substations and power lines during the season of thunderstorms specialists of Kubanenergo JSC (part of Russian Grids group) are preparing grid equipment. 

To check readiness of overvoltage protection devices to thunderstorm season specialists of Labinskiye electric grids, branch of Kubanenergo JSC, measured conductivity of surge arresters at four subsattions: 110/35/10kV “Labinsk-1”, “Mostovskaya”, “Voznesenskaya” and 110/10kV “Labinsk-2”. The diagnostics has shown that the equipment corresponds to norms and requirements. 

Quality of energy supply for industrial and household users, 30 buildings of social use in eight settlements of Labinskiy and Mostovskoy districts depends on faultless operation of substation equipment. 

Apart from it, back equipment was also checked and tested, precisely voltage transformers and package transformer substations of 0.4-10kV.

Emergency and repair teams were provided with instructions on actions during thunderstorm.

Measures taken by Kubanenergo are to prevent technological disturbances in grid complex during thunderstorms that are expected in Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygeya this spring.
