Kubanenergo plans to replace 60 km of overhead protection cable in northern areas of the region

In order to implement repair programme 2014 Kubanenergo (part of Russian Grids group) takes steps to increase reliability and quality of energy supply on the territory of Krasnodar region.

Specialists of Kubanenergo branch Leningradskiye electric grids will replace 59.8 km of overhead protection cable on 110kV power lines “Starominskaya - Yeisk”, “Starominskaya - Shkurinskaya” and “Shkurinskaya - Kuschevskaya” in Yeiskiy, Starominskoy and Kuschevskiy districts of the region. Overhead protection cable is meant for protection of wires from direct strikes of lightning and is an important device in overhead transmission system.

In order to enhance reliability of equipment the company plans to overhaul 9 substations of 35kV, which supply with electric energy more than 45 thousand consumers and buildings of social importance in Leningradskiy,Yeiskiy, Starominskoy and Kuschevskiy districts.

It is planned to replace about 750 pylons, 720 insulators, 185 crossarms, and 105 km of bare conductor. The company will proceed on replacing the branches to houses of consumers using the self-supporting insulated conductor. Within a year 28 hectares of line routes in protected zones will be cleared from bushes and shrubs.
