Specialists of Kubanenergo JSC (part of Russian Grids) completed thermal imaging and UV inspection of 160km of 110kV electric networks in Bryukhovetskiy, Kaliniskiy and Timashevskiy districts.  

Novonikolayevskaya – Lebedi, Kaliniskaya-Nobovelichkovskaya, Kaliniskaya_rogovskaya and Bryukhovetskaya-Mededovskaya lines were inspected, the total length of lines is 160km. Diagnostics allowed to assess the current technical condition of transmission lines, to find defects in electrical equipment and to improve the quality of repair works scheduled for 2014.

Kubanenergo’s special diagnostic teams perform such inspections. This kind of diagnostics is a modern and efficient method of inspecting the lines and overloaded sectors of power lines. Defects of electrical equipment become noticeable under UV and infrared rays, so the specialists can eliminate defects and faults at early stages.   

This work performed by specialists of Timashevskiye electric grids, branch of Kubanenergo, is to increase reliability of energy supply and safety of networks in this distribution zone, reduce the risk of technological faults occurring.
