Kubanenergo (part of Russian Grids Group) actively improves quality of energy supply in Adlersky city district of Sochi. The major work on installation of cable lines is accomplished, 10 new package transformer substations are installed.

Now our specialists are on the final stage of installing cables and what is left is to accomplish the start-up operations and put the facilities in commissioning. Completion of all works on construction and modernization of distribution grids is planned for September.

For these activities the company uses only modern materials and high-tech equipment. Cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation are reliable in operation. The equipment of package transformer substations does not require constant maintenance during the whole period of its service, and thanks to SF6 gas insulation it reduces the damage to environment to minimum.

Kubanenergo takes all the efforts to improve the territory of the district where the construction works were held. The company tiled the promenade areas, covered the roads with asphalt, established the lawns.

In total the programme of enhancing reliability of energy supply of Sochi includes installation of more than 470km of cable lines and modernization of 54 transformer stations and distribution units. The major part of the activities is planned to be finished in November 2013.
