Kubanenergo JSC implements a range of works aimed at increasing quality and reliability of energy supply of the resort. The Olympic programme includes construction of three new substations of 110kV (“Bykhta”, “Vishnyovaya”, “Bocharov Ruchey”), modernization of “Rodnikovaya” and “Vereschaginskaya” substations of 110kV. Total capacity of facilities is 340MVA. The company obtained from RF Ministry of Regional Development the commissioning permit on five facilities (“Vishnyovaya”, “Bykhta”, “Rodnikovaya” and “Vereschaginskaya” substations of 110kV, overhangs to Adler thermal power plant).
Another project in progress is installation of nine power lines of 110kV of total length 200km and modernization of city distribution network 6-10kV of total length 820km.

Apart from it on September 25, 2012 a programme of top-priority actions on enhancing safety of energy supply to Black sea coast of Krasnodar region. The programme includes a wide range of organizational and technical activities in Sochi that are to take energy supply to consumers to whole new level. Such projects, first of all, are related to modernization and repair of cable lines (they will be transferred to new voltage level) and transformer substations. “Alpiyskaya” and “Matsesta” substations are commissioned. Moretahn 100 cables lines and equipment at 33 transformer substations have been repaired.
To increase reliability of energy supply in Sochi it was decided to invite additional employees from branches of Kubanenergo and “Rossiiskiye seti” JSC. In early April more than thousand specialist arrived to Sochi to perform different types of maintenance work and repair equipment (cable and overhead lines, transformer substations, distribution devices).
